Red Foxes prepare to play Fairfield on Wednesday

PAWKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women’s soccer will host MAAC rival Fairfield and the GHD Red Foxes will take on the Stags on Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 pm at Tenney Stadium on ESPN+.

• Freshman midfielder Sophia Dorsey scored the only goal of the match as Marist women’s soccer tied MAAC rival Iona 1-1 on Saturday afternoon at Mazzella Field.
• Kelsey Peduto she was credited with an assist on goal, the first point of her collegiate career.

• In the last five games Maddie Catalanotti took 59 shots on goal and missed only seven.
• Catalanotti recorded shutouts against Niagara and Merrimack. Catalanotti currently has a SV% of 0.742%.

• The unsung heroes have scored the goals for the Red Foxes in the last two games.
• Anna MaggiLast week, she scored her first goal of the season against Niagara.
• Sofia Cassano also scored her first goal of the season in the same game against Niagara.
• Freshman Sophia Dorsey scored her first career goal against Iona.

• Fairfield has a 12-2-1 record on the season.
• In the MAAC, the Stags play 7-1-1.
• Fairfield’s Maddie Theriault currently leads her team with eight goals.
• Goalie Katie Wright has a save percentage of 0.94% and has 11 goals and 34 saves this season.

• The upcoming game will be the 25th match between the teams.
• The Red Foxes have an 8-9-7 all-time record against Fairfield.
• Last season, both teams played to a scoreless draw on October 14, 2023.

• The Red Foxes return to action on Sunday when Marist hosts Ryder.
