Southaven man sentenced to prison for possession of child pornography

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) – A Southaven man faces 10 years in prison on child pornography charges.

Truitt Neal Jr., 33, was sentenced after pleading guilty last week to possession of child pornography.

He was also sentenced to 10 years of post-release supervision and will be required to register as a sex offender.

“My office will not tolerate this type of depravity, and we will vigorously combat any form of child exploitation,” District Attorney Matthew Barton said. “Truitt will now have to answer for the heinous crime he committed.”
