Fire in Agua Dulce quickly stopped

UPDATE: A fire in Agua Dulce on Monday that threatened nearby structures was quickly contained.

Just before 5 p.m. Monday, firefighters received a report of a brush fire in the 11000 block of Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce, officials said.

UPDATE (5:22 p.m.): The fire has been contained to 2 acres, officials said.

UPDATE (5:15 p.m.): Second alarms have been canceled, according to fire officials.

When crews arrived on scene, they reported the fire was 1 acre and was slowly spreading, threatening nearby structures.

A second alarm response was requested to bring in additional firefighting equipment, officials said.
