The Tauranga Dog Breeders’ Association All Breed Dog Championships are taking place in Katikati this weekend.

The pedigree dogs are well-groomed and ready to shine at this weekend’s Tauranga Kennel Association All Breed Dog Championships.

The Canine Beauty Show returns to Katikati with around 500 dogs in attendance and this year there will be two shows in one.

First up is the opening ceremony, which will begin on Saturday at 8:30 am with a traditional cultural welcome to the international judges (from Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea and Australia) and exhibitors.

The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) is the largest cynological organization in the world. The show will start at 8.45am with the first Tauranga Dog Breeders Association show at 12.30pm. Performances will continue on Sunday.

Secretary Michelle Reichmuth says the show is well supported by dog ​​show enthusiasts and owners from across the country.
