Valmet solution to optimize district heating production at Oulun Energia Oy in Finland

Valmet will supply the Valmet DNA District Heating Manager solution for Oulun Energia’s district heating network in Oulu, Finland. WITHThe solution optimizes and controls the heating temperature at all production plants in the district heating network. It provides significant performance benefits by increasing heat delivery efficiency, reducing heat loss and improving the quality of district heating for end users.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received for the third quarter of 2024. The cost of the order is not disclosed. The solution will be put into operation at the end of October 2024 and transferred to the customer in the spring of 2025.

Technical delivery information

The package includes Valmet DNA District Heating Manager solution for intelligent optimization and control of flow temperature in district heating. The new solution will be integrated with the existing one Valmet DNA Energy Management System works at Oulun Energy. In addition, the parties signed an agreement Performance Agreement to ensure long-term performance.
