Fantasy football trading advice

Najee Harris (RB – PIT)

Najee Harris carried the ball 21 times for 102 yards at an average of 4.9 yards per carry, including a long run of 34 yards, and scored 1 touchdown. Received 8 red zone rush attempts and scored 1 touchdown.

Jaylen Warren rushed 12 times for 44 yards, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. Harris outshot Warren eight to four in the first half. Warren received 3 attempts and 1 red zone score but did not score. He led the Steelers in backfield rushing percentage (51%), ahead of Harris (49%).
Last week I talked about how slow Najee has traditionally been, so I’d like to think this is a sign of something to come in the future. However, the last two games stand out in stark contrast to his work this season. The games against the Raiders and Jets were extremely weak.

I think I would use this opportunity to sell Harris at a high price. The schedule gets much tougher in the second half of the season as all six AFC North games are played. Warren is getting better, which could cause problems for Harrs in the second half of the season.

The Steelers will face New York before their bye week. After that they will play @WAS, @BAL, @CLE, @CIN, vs CLE, @PHI, @BAL and vs KC.

Bigsby tank (RB – JAC)

Tank Bigsby dominated on the ground with 26 carries for 118 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 4.5 yards per carry with a long run of 13 yards on a 66% snap share.

Bigsby made 14 rushing attempts into the red zone and converted two for touchdowns. There are no targets in the red zone. According to Next Gen Stats, Bigsby took over as the lead RB against the Patriots, accumulating most of his production on inside tackle runs (91 of his career-high 118 yards).

Bigsby had 7 missed tackles on 26 carries, his second-most missed tackles in a game this season.
D’Ernest Johnson added nine rushes for 38 yards, averaging 4.2 yards per carry with 10 yards rushing. Two rushing attempts and 1 target in the red zone.

D’Ernest Johnson was also involved in the passing game, catching three of his four targets for 32 yards, averaging 10.7 yards per catch on a 26-yard reception. Johnson ran routes on 52% of his tackles. Bigsby was at 33%.

The matchup was designed to combat the Patriots’ poor defense, and Bigsby took full advantage. But the game script was so ideal for him that I doubt what will happen if the Jaguars have to play from behind in the coming weeks. GB, @PHI, vs MIN and @DET before week 12.

And teammate Travis Etienne Jr. will likely return, creating more chaos and uncertainty in the Jaguars’ backfield. Head coach Doug Pederson has already spoken out about Etienne’s status as the team’s RB1, despite how well Tank has played. Just seems like a situation I’d like to wipe my hands of.

Christian Watson (WR – UK)

30 air yards, 10.10% air yard share, 6.06% target share for Christian Watson. Watson will be hard to trust as anything more than a boom-or-bust WR3. He split snaps and routes with a healthy Dontayvion Weeks, who returned to the lineup. Given that we have all 32 teams playing next week and UK have a bye in Week 10, I don’t feel the need to keep Wicks/Watson in such an unstable role. The Jaguars could be targeted, but it’s hard to be sure who.
