Kangaroo vs Kiwi, Jillarus vs Kiwi Ferns; Shawn Johnson comes out of retirement, Mel Meninga calls the team unchanged

The second week of the Pacific Championship will feature two blockbuster double headers, including a rematch of last year’s men’s final.

Fiji and the Cook Islands will battle it out in the men’s and women’s competitions on Saturday night in Suva, before all eyes turn to Christchurch on Sunday afternoon.

Mel Meninga has named an unchanged Kangaroos squad despite admitting they were “clumsy” in their first match of the tournament as they seek revenge against the Kiwis who brought Shaun Johnson out of a brief retirement.

The Jillaroos will take on the Kiwi Ferns before the rematch, which will feature some of the biggest names in the NRLW competition.
