Several buildings are considered completely lost after a strong fire near Yeleva

CLARE CREEK COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – Three cabins and two outbuildings are considered a total loss after a major fire in Clear Creek Township Sunday morning.

Greg Rindal, Strum Fire Chief, said the fire occurred on County Road HH and started around 1:00 a.m.

Ridal said 22 acres of wooded land burned and one 1,000-pound propane tank exploded.

The Stroom Fire Department was assisted by 11 other agencies. No one was injured as a result of the reaction. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
