After spending a week in Paris, Danica and Liam headed to Rome as guests of Sam Burgess for his extravagant wedding to Lucy Graham at Villa Aurelia on Sunday.

The 17th-century Baroque villa, located on the highest point in Rome, offered magnificent views of the city skyline, creating a magical backdrop for their wedding.

The celebrations kicked off with a lavish welcome dinner, where Sam and Lucy stunned their guests in matching black ensembles.

Danica also wore black for the ceremony, showing off her incredible figure in a tight black strapless dress paired with matching black opera gloves and designer glasses.

Meanwhile, Liam looked dapper in a beige tuxedo, black trousers and a black bow tie.

The happy couple looked almost as happy as the bride and groom in photos posted at Danica’s age on Instagram.

It looks like her new relationship is getting serious, with the beloved sports reporter also attending the Bulldogs’ end-of-season awards night last month ahead of their European stint.

It was only last October that Danica, 33, called off her wedding to personal trainer Todd Lubinskas, just three weeks before the couple were due to tie the knot in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.

Their relationship became the talk of rugby league in February when the TV star was first spotted packing on the PDA with Liam at a restaurant in Sydney’s Potts Point.

“Her demeanor was that of a relaxed woman enjoying a pre-season fling with a younger specimen; it was a deer in headlights,” the visitor said.

Danica officially debuted her new romance with Liam in July, just months after dumping her fiancé weeks before their wedding.

Since then, they’ve shared plenty of happy snaps throughout the year as their romance continues to blossom.

Daily Mail Australia previously reported Todd asked Danica to return her diamond engagement ring through a third party because it was a family heirloom.

Danica was a consummate professional during Nine’s broadcast of the 2023 Grand Final shortly after the news broke, and was regularly seen smiling and laughing alongside her co-hosts Andrew Jones and Billy Slater.

It was revealed last August that she would keep the $1.5 million Maroubra home she shared with ex-fiancé Lubinskas.

She has now taken full charge of the house following the couple’s dramatic split last year, three weeks before they were due to marry.

Almost a year after their split, Danica has refinanced the four-bedroom townhouse into her name, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Meanwhile, her ex Todd has also moved on and appears to still be in love with his new partner, sex author Helen Cheek.
