Three Australian bars named in the world’s 50 best bars for 2024

Byrdi finally made it into the top 50 clubs after finishing 61st last year and 56th in 2021. The judges said it may be “the most Australian bar in existence… combining casual, chatty service with concept cocktails.”

The long list of bars ranked 51 to 100 was released earlier this month. Tiny Sydney mezcal bar Cantina OK was named the 96th best bar in the world, while minimalist bar Upper Board in Melbourne was ranked 100th. Both bars were previously ranked in the top 50, with Cantina OK ranking 41st in 2022 and above. In 2021, the Council was ranked 44th.
