Local county crime prevention staff continue to work with you on crime prevention strategies.

To help as many members of the community as possible properly secure their vehicle number plates, North Brisbane District Crime Stoppers has developed anti-theft screw packs.

Anti-theft screws are a special type of single-sided screw that, if used to secure a license plate to a vehicle, can only be removed using a specially designed tool.

This special removal tool is not sold to members of the public and can only be used by police officers.

With this simple step, you can save money and avoid the hassle of replacing stolen license plates.

If you live in North Brisbane, not only can you get free anti-theft screws from your local police station, but you can also order them online by filling out a simple form.

Complete the form below for each vehicle that requires screws and North Brisbane District Crime Stoppers will mail them to you for installation. https://mypolice.qld.gov.au/brisbanenorth/2020/10/21/north-brisbane-residents-able-to-order-anti-theft-screws-online/
