A structure fire at 902 Hillcrest St. early Monday morning.

VICKSBURG, Mississippi – Around 12:15 p.m., the Vicksburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 902 Hillcrest St. When the fire department arrived on scene, the building was fully engulfed in flames.

The Vicksburg Daily News was able to confirm live at the home at 902 Hillcrest St. no one is living, but the owner said they had to kick people out of the house.

Both the 6th and 7th engines arrived at the scene to put out the fire.

“Upon arrival, the building was completely engulfed in flames. The crew effectively extinguished the fire using a defensive attack. The building is reported to be unoccupied and no injuries were reported, Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps said.

The immediate cause of the fire is not known at this time.
