Creation of the first veterans’ cooperative in the region.

On the afternoon of October 22, in the hall of the provincial veterans association, the Bac Lieu City Veterans Association held a conference on the creation of a green agriculture veterans cooperative for the period from 10 to 2024. (image).

The conference was attended by leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association, the Provincial Farmers Association and the Provincial Cooperative Union.

The cooperative has 9 members, its operating office is located at 22 Vo Van Kiet Street, Block 1, Bac Lieu City, and its registered capital is VND 415 million.

The cooperative will provide services such as: environmental sanitation; tree care and landscape maintenance; agricultural activities; and supply of fertilizers.

At the conference, delegates elected Mr. Tran Van Tam as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, at the same time as the Director of the green agriculture cooperative CCB of Bac Lieu City. According to Mr. Tam, the cooperative supports its members to develop entrepreneurial activities in the areas of the environment, landscape creation; and providing permanent jobs and stable income, promoting economic development of members.

In 2024, the Cooperative will focus on registration, improving the organizational model and finding partners. Since 2025, the Cooperative has been intensifying the organization and implementation of production and economic activities.

This is the first war veterans’ cooperative created in the province.
