British rapper accused of rape blows kiss to fans outside Perth court

British YouTuber and musician Yung Philly, accused of raping and strangling a woman in a Perth hotel room, briefly went to court to change his temporary address.

Philly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 29, returned to Perth Magistrates Court today to have the bail changed, which was granted.

His change of address was not read out to the court, but a WA Police prosecutor said it “doesn’t appear that any flags are being flown” at this time.

The 29-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman after the performance on October 5th.

He was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth where he made his first court appearance on October 10.

The London rapper, who has 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and millions of followers on Instagram and TikTok, is facing multiple charges.

These include four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault causing bodily harm.

He is also accused of obstructing the woman’s breathing and circulation by putting pressure on her neck.

Barrientos, who has not entered a plea, could be forced to remain in Western Australia for several years while he awaits trial.

He did not speak to waiting reporters as he left the courthouse today.

Dressed in a creamy white sweatshirt pulled over his head, gray trousers and white trainers, he blew a kiss to a small group of screaming fans.

He walked briskly towards a waiting black Mercedes van before being driven away.

Barrientos’ strict bail conditions include surrendering his passport, posting a $100,000 bond and reporting to police seven days a week.

His Wikipedia page states that he was born in Colombia.

He started his YouTube career in 2013 and his music career in 2017.

He has also appeared on numerous television shows, including BBC’s Hot Property, which he hosted in 2018.
