New Order announce Australian tour in 2025

Manchester Music Legends New order are returning to Australia for their first shows on our shores in half a decade.

Expect a career-spanning setlist when the band touches down in March 2025, first playing in Perth, followed by outdoor shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, culminating with two shows in the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.

This follows the group’s previous visit in 2020, which was cut short due to a minor case of a “global pandemic”.

“Unfortunately we had to cancel our Melbourne show in March 2020 due to COVID and we’re thrilled to be able to come back and perform again,” says New Order.

“It’s an honor to return to perform in one of our favorite venues… We have always loved performing in Australia and are excited to return for a series of special shows in 2025.” Good things come to those who wait!”

Coming out of the end Department of Joyand the tragic death of frontman Ian Curtis, members Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris joined Gillian Gilbert to form New Order.

They quickly became an influential and recognized musical force in their own right.

Over four decades, they pioneered a boundary-pushing approach to pop music, resulting in an impeccable catalog of revered hits.

Blue Monday, Bizarre Love Triangle, The Age of Consent, Temptation, True Faith, Crystal, Regret just to name a few. And their latest album is 2015. Full musicproves that after all these years they are still creating incredible tunes.

New Order toured Down Under for the first time in 1982 (shortly after the release of their debut album Movement) and on every visit since then they have presented an audiovisual spectacle reminiscent of their enormous influence on modern music.
