Paul Kelly announces 2025 arena tour with Jason Isbell and Fanny Lumsden

Paul Kelly has officially announced an extensive tour of Australia and New Zealand in August and September 2025. The tour, presented by Frontier Touring, Triple M (Australia) and Stuff (New Zealand), includes Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Perth. , Melbourne, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

This tour is especially significant because it marks the only performance Kelly has scheduled for 2025 and will debut his first new album in seven years. “Fever Longing Still,” set for release on November 1, 2024, will feature new material following his 2018 album “Nature.” Fans eagerly await new additions to Kelly’s esteemed repertoire, which spans more than four decades. The album, partly inspired by Shakespeare, includes tracks such as “Taught By Experts” and “Houndstooth Dress”.

American rock band Jason Isbell and 400 Unit will join Kelly for all Australian dates. Isbell, a six-time Grammy winner, has been recognized as having one of the most distinctive voices in the genre. His latest effort with the 400 Unit, “Weathervanes,” was awarded Best Americana Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.

Australian country music singer Fanny Lumsden will open for Kelly’s Australian shows. Lumsden quickly rose through the ranks of the country music scene, and her album HEY DAWN received widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. The New Zealand tour will feature singer-songwriter Reb Fountain, known for her unique blend of folk and rock, who will complement the lineup with her critically acclaimed performance style.

Tickets for all shows go on sale October 30th, with pre-sales for Frontier members beginning October 28th.
