Ravens’ Derrick Henry gets toasted for missing an 81-yard touchdown run

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown, but it was a touchdown that the hulking linebacker didn’t score that was on his mind after Monday’s 41-31 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

Like a runaway freight train, Henry made his way to the Buccaneers’ second level defense and broke free in the third quarter, rushing for 81 yards. Essentially, he disappeared.

But Tampa Bay cornerback Zion McCollum was able to tackle Henry and tackle him at the Buccaneers’ 11-yard line, saving the touchdown.

After the game, Henry took to X (formerly Twitter) and made fun of himself for not scoring a touchdown in the game.

What’s ironic (and makes this tweet even funnier) is that Henry’s 81-yard run topped out at 21.72 mph, the third-fastest of his career.

Henry, 30, leads the NFL in rushing yards (873) and rushing touchdowns (8), and has a league-high 13 runs of 20 yards or more in seven games this season.

Baltimore has now won five games in a row entering their Week 8 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
