Reduce, reuse and recycle in Te Aro Zero Waste – News and information

Reduce

Do you have an item of clothing with a hole or broken zipper? Or some technology that requires configuration? Renovating instead of buying new is a great way to take climate action in your life and learn new skills along the way.

Te Aro Zero Waste has resources that can be booked through RepairED. Instead of buying new items, you can borrow and rent tools, use sewing machines, or set up shop at one of their repair stations.

RepairEd also hosts events such as the Repair Cafe and Just Sew Fixing events. You can come in at any convenient time and do the repairs yourself or place an order if you need expert support. For information on upcoming events at Te Aro Zero Waste, visit the events page.

By learning how to repair items, you can reduce waste by extending the life of the items you have. Zero Waste Shop is building a culture of sustainability in Poneke, helping to divert more materials from the landfill and keeping our city cleaner with minimal emissions.
