Waipuna is coming to Alaska PAC next month

Waipuna will arrive at Alaska PAC next month. The performance will take place on November 1.

Like a mountain spring, the music of Waipuna flows into your heart and fills your spirit. Winners of an impressive eight Na Hōkū Awards (Hawaii’s Grammys), the trio combine powerful musicianship, beautiful harmonies and a passion for their island home with the upbeat delivery that makes them so popular.

Dynamo guitarist David Kamakahi, superb bassist Cale Hannas and guitarist/falsetto master Matthew Sproat all come from renowned musical families, and the songs reflect their roots and the transformations that sustain the culture. For more than a decade, Waipuna has continued to develop the unique sound true to its name: “the deep spring from which fresh water flows,” revitalizing traditions and creating new ones (Honolulu Star-Advertiser).
