A Texas death row inmate is set to appear before lawmakers after he was saved from execution in a last-minute legal twist. Robert Roberson could have been the first person executed in the United States for the shock death of a child, but the Texas Supreme Court halted Roberson’s execution after a bipartisan group of lawmakers subpoenaed him to testify. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports a last-minute pause in the Roberson execution case.
