An AFLW star reveals the shocking result of a brutal clash of heads she suffered during a match

Crows star Chelsea Randall has been cleared by doctors to play in Adelaide’s massive match against league leaders North Melbourne this weekend after she was involved in a violent collision with Collingwood player Eliza James on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the first quarter of the match when both players collided heads during a marking contest.

James was ruled out for the remainder of the match with a concussion, and Randall was assessed for a head injury after about 20 minutes on the sidelines.

The Crows cruised to a 56-13 win over the Magpies, with Randall scoring in the fourth quarter to help her side seal the win.

The result leaves Adelaide in the top four, level with Brisbane on 28 points, with two games remaining to play in the AFLW grand finals series.

Meanwhile, Randall took to Instagram after the match to show off the painful black eye she was left with after the head collision.

The defender, who has scored five goals for the Crows this season, appears to have developed swelling on the right side of his face after the accidental collision.

Randall appeared in good spirits despite the injury and was cleared by doctors to take part in the match against North Melbourne on Friday night.

Luckily, doctors said she did not have any structural damage to her face, meaning she will likely be ready for the big crash Friday night.

Speaking on Instagram, Randall updated her followers about the injury, stating: “Hey guys, just wanted to say…” She said before turning her head so viewers could see her black eye.

“Hope you have a great day,” she added, before laughing off the injury by posting a photo of herself giving a thumbs up.

The football star appears to be making light of the injury, posting a photo of himself next to a chipmunk and a photo of Harry Potter after drinking Polyjuice Potion during the iconic film franchise.

Randall and James appeared to butt heads in an accidental collision during the Ravens’ win on Sunday.

James (right) was ruled out of the game with a head injury, and Randall (left) was cleared to play after 20 minutes on the bench.

However, Randall seemed to see the lighter side of the injury, posting a photo of herself next to a panda drawing a heart symbol with her hands.

She captioned the post: “Footy footy footy. Here’s your content for Monday. Chipmunk > Polyjuice Potion > Panda Eyes.’

Randall also sent James a note in the caption: “Lots of love to @elizajames_ in this competition,” adding a “heart hands” emoji.
