NRL 2024: Canterbury Bulldogs, Kaiviti Silktails; partnership to strengthen Fijian pathways

Kaiviti Silktails have announced a three-year partnership with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The partnership will be agreed with the Bulldogs and Silktails football programs for the next three seasons, completing the club’s four-year partnership with the Sydney Roosters.

“Our club is thrilled to be partnering with the Bulldogs and there were so many reasons why this deal made sense for us,” Kaiviti Silktails Chairman Petero Civoniceva said.

“Watching their NRL team grow this year has won the hearts of all Rugby League fans.

“The growth of the NRL team was built on what Phil Gould and Adam Hartigan did with their Pathways program and joining a strong program was paramount for us.”

“I would like to take this time to thank the Sydney Roosters for the last four years together, in particular Daniel Anderson, and we wish the Roosters all the best for the future.”

Speaking from Suva in Fiji to promote the Silktails partnership, Bulldogs CEO of Football Phil Gould had the following to say about the Silktails deal.

“Over the past two seasons, the Bulldogs have strengthened our commitment to playing in Fiji, particularly since bringing William Kikau to our club,” Gould said.

“We have since established Kikau Academy in Fiji and our Ron Massey Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup teams have played in Fiji three times in the last twelve months to promote this.

“Now the partnership with Silktails is a continuation of our commitment to Rugby League in Fiji.”
