Halloween lovers, meet Halloween fan Oscar (wearing a Jason mask).

Oscar told BuzzFeed that he has loved Halloween since he was a child. He always made his own costumes and began carving intricate pumpkins about 20 years ago.

However, about 15 years ago, Oscar took his love of Halloween up a notch when he began creating his own animated props. “I started setting up a few props on the porch and outside, but since Wisconsin has rough weather in October, about five years ago I started setting up props in my garage to stay out of the way of potential bad weather,” he said.

What’s most impressive, however, is that Oscar handcrafts all of his animatronics. “Some prop ideas I get from others online and on Halloween forums, but others are 100% my design/creation,” he said.

Since then, he has been allowing people to come in and walk (or run) through his garage to scare him. “I don’t take any money. I just do it for fun,” he added. But a few days ago, when he decided to share a video of what his garage looked like last year, more than 15 million people were shocked.

The text is read "Homemade haunted house props."Garage with open doors marked "IN" And "Outside," decorated for Halloween. A red slot machine is visible. …People were amazed at the level of his skill, but also intimidated by how realistic the props looked. So, as a disclaimer, it’s probably best not to watch the video if you have a child nearby.

Without further ado, here’s Oscar’s haunted garage:

At the entrance you are greeted by a seemingly funny little machine with candy claws…

A claw machine filled with Halloween props and candy is outside. A man in a mask takes a selfie in the reflection. But the joke is on you, because this little bastard will come out as soon as you try to use it:

Inside the garage you will see an animatronic Puppet Master Oscar the Reaper:

His “Ax Murder in the Door” prop, which literally leaves ax marks on the wall as if the killer is trying to break out to grab you:

A man looks out the window of a metal door with cracked glass, on the door is written: "Only authorized personnel in restricted areas."A man looks out the window of a metal door with cracked glass, on the door is written: "Only authorized personnel in restricted areas."

Along the way you’ll notice these creepy little details:

And this:

You will also see a man who was chained and hacked to death trying to free himself:

And also last year’s Oscar add-on, Pepper’s Ghost Illusion:

But what made most people’s eyes widen was what Oscar calls the Creepy Climber…

This is a woman trying to climb over an electric fence:

And then I got an electric shock:

This is just a nightmare:

Apparently, after seeing the viral video, people couldn’t believe Oscar did it all himself.

And it was decided that his garage haunted house is better than many of the ones you pay for:

Oscar builds new props to add to his haunted garage every year, and each one takes about two to three months to complete. He even learned how to weld using this process, having previously used PVC pipes. “Welding opened up a whole new world of what I could do and create. And I make the props move with compressed air,” he added.

He currently has over 15 props, but he has to change them every year because he doesn’t have much space in his garage. “I always show off my new props and then go through other props every year, always trying to keep the crowd favorites,” he shared.

This year Oscar worked on The Freaky Ficus, which you can see for yourself below:

And although it takes about four to five days to set up the garage for Halloween and two full days to tear it down, Oscar said it’s worth it. You can follow him for more ghost fun on TikTok and YouTube.
