Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nicholas Hamilton has revealed he will be the subject of a Sky Sports report during Report on the Mexican Grand Prix this weekend.

Hamilton’s younger brotherwho shares the same father with the seven-time Formula 1 champion, suffers from cerebral palsy, but this did not stop him from pursuing a career in motorsport.

Nicolas competed in the British Touring Car Championship for six seasons in a specially modified car.

He withdrew from the BTTC earlier this season, less than a year after finishing his best-ever sixth place at Donington Park under the watch of brother Lewis.

Nicholas Hamilton expressed delight at the TV report

Now the 32-year-old has revealed that the media often contact him to find information about his brother, the seven-time champion.

The younger brother explained that he feels rejuvenated by the fact that Sky Sports will not be using him to provide in-depth information on the Mercedes driver, but will instead focus on his own racing career in a set of features that will be broadcast this weekend.

He wrote on Instagram: “Called Sky Sports F1 and asked if they could cover my journey in life.

“To be honest, I am usually contacted by the media to use me to find information about Lewis as I feel they are not prepared to support me, my voice or story.

“But today Natalie Pinkham and her team made me feel valued, heard and that I MATTER. Not just because of who I am associated with, but because of what I have achieved on my own.

“Such an amazing opportunity that I have used to the best of my ability to inspire and help others.”
