SC Senate District 27 (2024 Voter Guide) – SC Daily Gazette

Sen. Penry Gustafson, a Camden Republican, flipped the 27th District to the GOP in 2020, defeating longtime Democratic incumbent Sen. Vincent Sheheen, who ran for governor twice (losing both times to Nikki Haley).

But Gustafson lost by a landslide to Allen Blackmon in the June primary.

According to Dave’s Redistricting, the district heavily favors Republicans by 28 percentage points. The district covers parts of Lancaster, Chesterfield and Kershaw counties.
