Pedestrian killed in crash in Webster early Saturday morning

A man was killed early Saturday morning in Webster in what police believe was a hit-and-run crash, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Police learned of the crash near 126 Lake St. around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian dead in the road with “injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” district attorney’s office spokeswoman Lindsey Corcoran wrote in an email.

Investigators later found a vehicle damaged in the crash in a nearby area, Corcoran said.
